7.5 Tonne Box Van (Cargo)

The next size up from the Luton van is the 7.5 tonne box van, which has an internal length of  20ft (6metres). The Cargo box van comes with a tail lift able to lift a 1000kg making it easier to move those heavier items.

The 7.5 tonne box van can be driven on a a standard UK driving license with the category C1 which is given on most licences passed before 1997.

Operators licence – Customers will need a operators licence to carry goods (or burden) connected with any trade or business if you ‘use’ a motor vehicle on a road with a gross plated weight of more than 3.5 tonnes. See PDF for more details: OPERATORS LICENCE

    Can you tell me the engine size please in cc – I need it to claim the mileage back from my employer and the rate per mile is determined by the engine capacity.
